The Lonely Island – Incredibad Tom February 9, 2009 Music You might not know that you’ve heard of them, but I’m pretty sure you have. The Lonely Island is a comedy trio made up of Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone. They started out by filming random skits and putting them on the internet, it was there that they grabbed the attention of Saturday Night Live and were hired on as writers. They are most known for their “SNL Digital Shorts” which include songs such as “Dick in A Box”, “Lazy Sunday” and “Space Olympics” amongst others. Well The Lonely Island decided that they were going to give making a full album a shot and it comes out tomorrow in stores! It’s titled “Incredibad” and it’s actually pretty good. Not good in the sense that it’s incitefull or has quality lyrics, but good in the sense that they know they are not real MC’s and they do what they do well, make ridiculous songs. All the original favorites I mentioned above are on the album along with Natalie Portman’s uncensored rap, along with a bunch of new tracks, 19 in total. So if you’re a fan of any of the “SNL Digital Shorts” – songs, then definitely check out this album. Notible tracks – “Santana DVX”, “Boombox”, “I’m A Boss” and “Incredibad”. That last one almost sounds like Beastie Boys, if they were trying to be absolutely ridiculous. If you get a chance to check it out, come back and let us know what you think. And in the meantime enjoy “On A Boat” featuring T-Pain.
