I knew Paul Walker had a couple movies in the can before he passed away, but I had no idea they were making, what appears to be, a straight remake of “District B13” called “Brick Mansions”. They even got the same actor to play the same character as he did in “District B13” (David Belle). I’m a huge fan of “District B13”, but even so, I will watch the shit out of this remake. The basic plot of the movie is that there is an area of town so corrupt and taken over by gangs, that the police department/government, whatever, has built a wall around it. Of course the criminals on the inside somehow get a hold of a powerful missile and threaten to launch it into the city, killing thousands of people. The only way to stop them is to go beyond the walls and disarm the bomb…¬†All you need to know is it’s an action movie with a ton of parkour.

Like I said, I had no clue they were remaking this movie under a different title, and I sure as hell had no clue Paul Walker was going to be in it. I may even go see this one in the theater since I didn’t get to see the original on the big screen.

Check out the trailer above and let us know what you think. But if you’re really curious about the movie, just go watch “District B13” and it’s sequel, “District 13: Ultimatum”.

Brick Mansions hits theaters on April 25, 2014.

I loved District B13. Ultimatum was okay. But the thing that made it, was the cop, played by Cyrill Raffaelli, is a stuntman and he sold the stunts. Huge Walker fan, but not sure if he can sell it. This may end up just like the Oldboy remake.
