If you’re like me you remember sitting around with all of your buddies playing Goldeneye on the N64. This was the first game to make multiplayer first person shooters a staple in almost every home that had this console. If you didn’t have Goldeneye there was absolutely no reason for you to own a Nintendo 64. I can still remember yelling at my asshole friends when they would insist that being the Odd Job character was not cheater. Really?!?!?! Being a character that is a foot smaller than everyone else, thus making you have to aim down for every shot isn’t cheap? Give me a break. Well for those of you that do remember this game you’re going to love this. There was a new version of Goldeneye released on a the Wii a year or so ago, but it was kind of meh. I picked it up hoping to play through it for the nostalgia sake, but I just ended up bored and frustrated. No, not because the game doesn’t hold up to todays FPS’ like Call of Duty and Battlefield, but because the motion controls were wonky, the graphics were disappointing and I generally just hate playing the Wii outside of fun party games. Well someone must have heard our cries because they are releasing an even more updated version of the game on the Xbox 360 entitled “Goldeneye Reloaded”. It looks to have much better graphics than the Wii version and I’m sure the controls have been refined enough that I will enjoy every minute of planting 100 proximity mines on the walls. I’m not sure of a release date, but if you happen to know leave us a comment. I’m also not sure if it will have online multiplayer, but how sweet would that be…
