New MacBook Pros and Macbook Air Updates Plus More

If you don’t pay attention to Apple stuff then you may not have known that this morning (actually currently) there is an Apple press conference where they just unveiled the new MacBook Pro Notebooks. The main differences are an all aluminum body, mini-Display port, glass trackpad with multi-touch capabilities, LED backlit screen, 2 graphics cards, and maybe something else that I’m missing. The notebooks are shipping today and will be in stores tomorrow in two different models:

“$1999, 15.4 inch display, 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA 9400 and 9600. We have a second config at $2499, you get a faster CPU with double cache, 4GB RAM, double graphics memory, 320GB hard drive.”

The MacBook Air is also getting an update, new video cards, bigger hard drives, mini-display port, which will be available in November.

They also announced a 24″ LED backlit display that will cost $899.

The original MacBook (white) is getting $100 knocked off the price and will now start at $999 instead of $1099.

And they are introducing a new model of the MacBook. It will have a corner to corner backlit LED screen, faster graphics, single piece aluminum frame, glass track pad, (all like the MacBook Pro), and this new model will start at $1299. There will also be a $1599 model which adds a backlit keyboard, more ram, faster processor and more hard drive space. It’s basically a 13.3″ MacBook Pro. These will also ship today and hit stores tomorrow.
