Do you love your sports teams? And can’t wait for the season to start?

Hey, we get it. And we want to help.

Every die-hard fan needs to know when the season starts so you see when your favorite team is playing. And while we can’t list all the different sports seasons here, we can fill you in on the four major sports in America: Major League Baseball (MLB), National Football League (NFL), National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA).

So without further ado, here are the sports schedules for 2019.

2019 MLB Season

Currently, the MLB is wrapping up its 150th season of professional baseball.  Several teams are vying for a spot in the playoffs. The season officially ends on September 29, with the playoffs beginning a few days later on October 1, 2019.

National League teams will square off against one another until one team wins the pennant, a chance to represent the league in the World Series. This same process occurs in the American League and the two winners face off in the Fall Classic.

This year, the World Series is scheduled from October 22 through October 30. Seven games are scheduled and the first team to get four wins is the champion.

Then we do it all again next year, with the 2020 season kicking off on March 26, 2020.

2019 NFL Season

The NFL season has officially kicked off its season this past September 5, 2019. Each team plays 16 games over 17 weeks with each squad taking one week off during the season.

So now is the time to secure tickets for your favorite games. For example, if you live in Southern California, you may want to check out the Los Angeles Chargers home schedule to order tickets.

The regular season ends for the NFL on December 29, 2019. The playoffs conclude with the ultimate game, Super Bowl LIV, on February 2, 2020.

2019 NHL Season

Lace up your skates and get ready for hockey because the 2019-2020 NHL season is just around the corner. The league officially drops the puck for the first time on October 2, 2019, with each team playing 82 games until the season concludes on April 4, 2020.

Then, as any hockey fan will tell you, the “real” season begins. The playoffs are intense and nerve-wracking. The playoff schedule has not been released yet, but it will likely begin a few days after the regular season concludes.

Playoff teams compete to win the Stanley Cup, the best championship trophy in all of sports. The Stanly Cup series usually runs from late May through early June.

2019 NBA Season

The upcoming NBA season is one of the most anticipated campaigns in the modern era. Several superstars have changed teams and the anticipation for the season is high.

The first games begin on October 22, 2019. Like hockey, each team plays 82 regular-season games with the final games taking place on April 15, 2020.

The playoffs start on April 18, 2020, with 16 teams trying to get to the NBA Finals. The NBA playoff schedule is flexible and won’t be announced until later. But we do know the Finals will be played in June 2020.

The regular season will begin on October 22, 2019, and will end on April 15, 2020. The playoffs will begin on April 18, 2020, and will end with the NBA Finals in June 2020.

Final Thoughts on the Four Major Sports Seasons

The best part about sports is that the outcome is never known ahead of time. You have to watch the games to see how they play out. That’s why it’s so exciting and why we can’t wait for each new sports season to start.
