The saga continues wu-tang wu-tang. Er. I mean the saga continues with the second installment in the Unicron trilogy, Transformers Energon. This series is just as slamming as the first one, Armada.

Energon picks up with the unsettling truce between the Autobots and Decepticons after the destruction of the dangerous Unicron, the planet consumer. Both factions are on a quest to harvest this new energy called Energon. Things begin to get complex when a whole new faction lead by Alpha Q, called Terrorcons, threaten the existence of Earth.

This of course causes an all out war as the Autobots and Decepticons are up against an enemy that could threaten the ability to harvest Energon. The episodes that follow are action packed with twists and turns and a battle between old enemies for the right to harvest the new power for their own. Get ready for a real ride as we lead up to the final installment of Unicron!!

The video is decent at best. Of course most of us are used to the quality of a bluray, so some may be biased, but overall I believe for what it is, its very watchable. They did a good job with the detail of the Transformers, which are of course CG as well as the mobility and transformations whilst in battle. Being an anime series, you get what you expect you would get.

The audio in this series was also pretty decent. The sounds the Transformers make when transforming and the sound efx during battles is nice and clear. Also the dialogue is crisp and never seems to be out shown by the sounds going on around.

Overall, I loved it. I found it pretty hard to stop watching, so I watched in one sitting. I am excited to see whats in store for the finale. This one is as action packed as the first one if not more, and with a new foe placed in, it just keeps it interesting. So go out and get this. If you are a fan, you will not be disappointed.
