South Park: You Have 0 Friends (4/7/10)

Looks like this week’s South Park revolves around Facebook. So far this season has been pretty incredible so hopefully we’ll get another quality episode tonight. Below you’ll find the plot synopsis, TVguide.com doesn’t have one listed today so I hope this one is correct.

You Have 0 Friends

Stan and Kyle have been through so much together over the years, but it all means nothing if Stan won’t “friend” Kyle on Facebook.

Kyle “friended” the wrong person and now all of his old friends are deserting him. His situation is desperate. Kyle looks for help from the one person who has always been there for him.

Well it was bound to happen sooner or later and I think this weeks episode of South Park was the first dud of the season, at least for me. The plot followed Stan as he tried to avoid signing up for Facebook because he didn’t want to get sucked into it, but when Kyle and Cartman setup an account for him he’s forced to add pretty much everyone around him as a friend. This leads to him getting sucked into Facebook, literally, to confront his out of control profile. Meanwhile, Kyle is dealing with the fact that he’s losing all his Facebook friends due to the fact that he “friended” an unpopular kid who had 0 friends.

I was pretty disappointed this week, especially coming off such an epic episode last week. I just didn’t find this one as funny and amusing as the previous 2, but there’s always a few each season that miss the mark. Hopefully next week things will be back on track and we’ll get another classic episode.
