NBC – What’s Gone and What’s New

For those of you that watch a lot of TV this one is going to interest you. Every spring the TV networks announce their schedules for the fall. They announce what shows still have a spot in the line-up, which new shows we’ll be seeing and of course, which shows have gotten the axe. You can get NBC’s full schedule here, but I just wanted to give you a quick update on what’s canceled.

The only cancellations are the original Law & Order and Heroes. I don’t know how Heroes has been lately as far as quality goes, but personally I stopped watching it about 3 episodes into the 2nd season because it just didn’t seem to have the flair that the first season had anymore. I know a few of my friends still watch it, but it sounds like it’s been losing ratings the past few years and the cancellation isn’t too much of a surprise. Law & Order has been around for what seems like forever, but the original is finally getting the axe. But don’t worry, the spin-offs like SVU will be sticking around for a little while longer as well as Law & Order: Los Angeles, so that should keep you Law & Order fans content… maybe.

And the new shows for this season are The Event, Chase, Undercovers, Outsourced, Love Bites, Outlaw. I don’t know much about them, but I do know that Undercovers comes to us from Lost and Fringe creator J.J. Abrams, so you can bet your ass I’ll at least be giving that one a try.

Other rumors for other networks right now are that Flash Forward has been canceled, but nothing is official yet. That kind of sucks because I really enjoyed the show, I hope that wrap it up fairly well and don’t leave us hanging like they did with Jericho. Thankfully the fans brought Jericho back and kind of finished it off…

So what do you think of NBC’s new line-up?
