Kanye West is an Arrogant Prick Tom September 14, 2009 Music, TV I’m going to jump on the bandwagon today and talk about Kanye West at the MTV VMA’s last night. If you haven’t read any websites or listened to the radio today I’ll give you a little backstory. The MTV Video Music Awards was on live last night. The show opened with a great little tribute to Michael Jackson intro’d by Madonna before host Russell Brand took the stage as host, again. I find Brand fairly hysterical only for the fact that he makes all the people in the room feel so uncomfortable, but not quite as uncomfortable as Kanye West made Beyonce feel last night and not to mention how he made Taylor Swift feel. I think it was the 2nd award of the night for Best Female Video, acts like Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Pink and Taylor Swift were nominated for their respective videos. After hearing the nominees I assumed that Beyonce would take the Moon man and apparently Kanye West assumed the same thing, so when Taylor Swift was announced as the winner he went into “prick-mode” and stormed the stage. Taylor Swift was already up on stage accepting her award and about to give her acceptance speech. She was obviously very excited and surprised to have beat on the other nominees, but she was really surprised when Kanye walked on stage and took the microphone from her hands and started yelling at MTV claiming that Beyonce had the video of the year and some other bullshit. Not only did Taylor Swift look confused and like she was about to cry, but Beyonce looked extremely embarrassed. MTV tried to cut to the Eminem/Tracy Morgan promo that was going to run next, but they ended up just completely cutting off Taylor Swift’s speech. This isn’t the first time Kanye West has made himself look like a complete douche, in fact anytime the guy opens his mouth he should just put a shotgun in it to save himself from whatever words he’s going to vomit out. I don’t know how other rappers in hip-hop would want to have anything to do with this guy, he just makes himself and his label look like idiots. And I hope he stops trying to rep Chicago because we don’t want him, get the fuck out man, nobody wants you. I know a lot of times when you come into fame quickly the arrogance can come with it, but grow up man. You ruined an amazing night for a 19 year old girl who’s career is just starting to take shape. And had you not been kicked out after your douche-fest you would have seen that Beyonce did have the video of the year, yet because of your outburst she stood up and showed more class than you will ever have by having Taylor Swift come back out on stage and finish her acceptance speech. Congratulations, you’ve officially sealed your fate as the biggest douche in Hollywood. I thought R. Kelly gave Chicago entertainers a bad name by pissing on a 14 year old, but you sir pissed on a girls dreams last night in front of the world. Oh, but you apologized to her mom and on your website, who cares! The apology was half ass, you’re still a prick and I hope this kills your career because I know I’m not the only one that can’t stand you anymore. I hope South Park takes another stab at you in this upcoming season because I think you got off light being a gay fish, you deserve everything that anyone says about you, you arrogant prick. Best part of the VMA’s, after the Taylor Swift incident, anytime Kanye was nominated the entire crowd booed and started chanting “Taylor”. Seriously dude, just die.
