It’s Always Sunny: The Gang Goes To The Jersey Shore (9/22/11) Tom September 22, 2011 Other Clips, TV, TV Show Reviews Get ready to enjoy alcohol in a sunscreen bottle because the gang is headed to the Jersey Shore! The preview for this weeks episode looks hilarious, but I’m not sure they can top Charlie’s blood bath last week. If anyone is more capable than the cast of “Jersey Shore” of shedding light on how ridiculous the “jersey shore culture” is, it’s the gang from it’s always sunny. I mean seriously, Frank bring a booze soaked ham to the beach… genius. The Gang Goes to the Jersey Shore Dee and Dennis take the gang to their favorite childhood vacation spot on the Jersey Shore. Things aren’t quite as they remember them. Still, Mac, Frank and Charlie have the time of their lives; Dee and Dennis not so much. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit disappointed in this episode. I thought there was a lot more they could have done with it, but instead we just get 3 separate story lines that aren’t really that funny. I liked the opening where they were just out back burning random crap and Dennis and Dee realize it’s their old photo albums which leads to them wanting to go to the Jersey Shore. Realizing that he doesn’t like to travel, Charlie decides he wants to go, but he’ll have to be knocked out first using gasoline. Mac thinks that’s a bad idea and says he’ll get the chloroform and knock him out when he’s least expecting it, instead he just runs up behind him and puts him in a terrible sleeper hold. So they make it to the Jersey Shore and immediately all go their separate ways. Charlie ends up on the beach by himself, Frank and Mac end up drunk off rum ham in a raft in the middle of the ocean and Dennis and Dee end up robbing a liquor store while cracked out on angel dust. I didn’t like how everyone split up right away and I think that’s part of why I didn’t like the episode. I also didn’t like Charlie’s story line with the waitress hopped up on ecstasy, it was kind of dumb and not funny. So I don’t know, I didn’t really like this episode, but I’m still looking forward to the rest of the season. What did you guys think? Sean GBN I am not so sure about this review as I have watched this episode numerous times now (as it is almost June of 2012) and I absolutely love this episode! The homeless guys underneath the boardwalk alone had me laughing on the floor for hours!
