For those of you that are fans of ABDC or America’s Best Dance Crew, you’ll be happy to know that season 6 starts tonight, April 7th, on MTV. According to the video above there were 10 crews set to battle it out for a spot on the top so I’m not sure what happened to the other 5 since the TV listing for tonight’s episode only says 5 groups will perform (and MTV’s cast bio page only lists 5 groups). Maybe they are splitting up the performances to 2 weeks instead of trying to jam 10 performances into 1 night, I guess we’ll see. The 10 groups menttioned for season 6 are: Eclectic Gentlemen, IaMmE, Phunk Phenomenon, ReQuest, Street Kingdom, 787 Crew, Instant Noodles Crew, ICONic Boyz, Footworkingz and Jagged Dance Company. The groups will battle it out dancing to their favorite Lil Wayne songs in the season 6 premiere tonight so make sure you set your DVR’s and check back here tomorrow for a recap of all the action.

We traveled all across the U.S. to find the country’s 10 most talented groups, and they’ll be putting everything on the line as they fight for the title ofAmerica’s Best Dance Crew. The dancers know they must leave it all on the floor and give it their best to impress the judges. Only one team can be the winner, and they all want it.
Mario Lopez returns as the host of the new Dance Crew season as do judges JC Chasez and Lil Mama. Joining the judging panel will be Quest Crew’s Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval, and together they are all ready to critique each week’s performances in their search for America’s Best Dance Crew.
In the first season, JabbaWockeeZ worked the crowd every week with their synchronized moves and signature masks, and were the first to claim the coveted title of America’s Best Dance Crew and the $100,000 cash prize. The second time around, it was Super Cr3w who stole the show and all of theABDC glory. Season three was dominated by Quest Crew and all of their masterful performances. During season four, We Are Heroes walked away as the first all-female group to win the title. And last season was ruled by Poreotix and their robotic style. Which group will be the sixth to join the ranks of the previous winners?
These 10 talented and determined dance crews will pop, jump, sway, stomp and step their way to the top. This competition is fierce and they know what’s at stake as they face each other in the ultimate challenge for dance supremacy.
Once each episode goes off the air, the Dance Crew excitement continues on MTV.com. After each episode, go online to cast your vote for your favorite dance crew. You can also check out extra coverage, including rehearsal updates, injury reports and exclusive backstage interviews. Plus, you can chat with other fans about which crew’s moves are totally hot and which ones are totally not.
After the votes are tallied, the two crews with the fewest votes must battle it out on the dance floor in order to get the chance to advance to the next round. One by one, the groups will be sent home, and in the end, only one group will be able to call themselves America’s Best Dance Crew.
