After watching the Falcons crush the Vikings yesterday I decided to pop in the Traitor blu-ray and check it out. The movie stars Don Cheadle as a CIA agent on an extremely top secret mission to infiltrate some terrorist cell and bring down it’s leader. All while the FBI is chasing him down because they think he is a terrorist.
I enjoyed the movie, it didn’t have quite as much action as I was expecting, but it was still a pretty good movie. I like Cheadle in the role, it seemed to fit him pretty well, unlike his role in the upcoming Iron Man 2. I still don’t see how he’s going to fill Terrance Howard’s shoes as Rhodes, but I guess we’ll see. I don’t know why, but the movie kind of reminded me of Syriana, but not as boring. I hated Syriana, fell asleep in the theater and still think it’s a terribly boring movie. But don’t go into this one expecting some ridiculous action like True Lies or Die Hard or something (haha, trying to think of a ridiculous action movie with terrorists), it’s still very much an action/drama and a few parts do drag a bit, but overall I thought it was an enjoyable movie that held my attention pretty well for 2 hours. I did figure out the ending pretty soon after it all started to come together, so that was a little disappointing.
