Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Mini-Review

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor stars Brenden Fraiser and Jet Li and is the “third” movie in The Mummy series. I kind of consider it the 4th, since The Scorpion King was set in the same world and was meant as a supplement to The Mummy Returns, but anyways. This latest installment was pretty good overall. I enjoyed The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, they weren’t the greatest movies, but they are entertaining with some pretty cool special effects. Dragon Emperor continues that tradition of action mixed with comedy and great special effects, for the most part. I wasn’t too impressed with how the dragon looked as well as the yeti’s. They just didn’t seem to be lighted very well and stuck out like a sore thumb from the backgrounds. But the story itself was very entertaining and funny at the right parts. I think if you’re a fan of The Mummy and The Mummy Returns you will definitely enjoy this one.

One complaint about Universal’s Blu-ray discs in general, seriously work on menus guys. Why do you use the exact same menu system for every single blu-ray you put out? It’s lame and boring.
