Mini Movie Review: You Don’t Mess With The Zohan

Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve actually enjoyed a majority of Adam Sandler movies, but “Zohan” just wasn’t funny to me. The story is about an Israeli spy or super soldier, Zohan, who fakes his own death to come to America to style and cut hair. After a while the Phantom (which is the guy that thought he killed Zohan) figures out he’s still alive and comes to America looking for him. Now it seemed like it could be decent based on the previews, but after watching it there really wasn’t anything funny about it. It tries to get laughs from over-the-top ridiculous things and doesn’t try to do anything smart with the humor. Maybe I was looking into it too much, after all it is an Adam Sandler movie we’re talking about. But still, I was expecting a little more than what I got out of this. The only good thing about the movie is Emmanuelle Chriqui who is always nice to look at.

If I had to give you a recommendation I would say skip this one, but if you’re curious, check it out. It’s almost 2 hours long though, so be aware.

You can now pick up this movie on You Don't Mess With the Zohan (Unrated)
