Jackass 3D Review

jackass 3d review

I got a chance to check out Jackass 3D last night and all I can say is if you enjoy the stuff that the Jackass crew has done in the past, you will enjoy this one. The movie itself is exactly what you’d expect, 90 minutes of ridiculous stunts and disgusting pranks and some of them are truly disgusting. I can usually handle disgusting things, but there was one scene in particular that I almost lost it during. I don’t want to ruin it for the rest of you, but I’ll just tell you that it involves a miniature train set and a mountain…. absolutely disgusting. The two girls I was with almost lost it during the Sweatsuit Cocktail, but I didn’t find that nearly as bad as the train scene.

So basically if you know Jackass, you know what you’re getting into. As for the 3D, I didn’t find it as necessary as the marketing wanted you to believe, but I’m a huge opponent of 3D in general, it’s stupid. It definitely added some depth to certain scenes and stuff like that, but it really added nothing to the movie itself. The intro and outro of the movie utilized the 3D better than anything within the film did so I could have done without the glasses for 90 minutes, but it’s not like it took away from anything.

If you’re a fan of Jackass and are looking for more from these guys you will not be disappointed, but if you’ve never liked Jackass and were hoping this would change your mind, I would stay away. I’ve also heard rumblings (from Knoxville on Jimmy Fallon) that they filmed enough stuff for 2 movies so expect to see Jackass 3.5 in the spring. Oh and props to these guys for making the end credits interesting, I never stay through the credits, but all 5 of us stayed through to the last line. I really don’t know what else to say about this, you either love it or you hate it and by now you should already know either way.
